We set out early in the morning with our beloved Siddha Masters… Sri Pranaji & Master Raj. Along with 8 students, we began the journey to Palani hills.
We waited for the winch to reach the top of Palani hill. Then with the blessings of our Masters and Lord Murgan, we were able to sit in front of the Lord’s statue and experienced a very rare opportunity to witness the abishegam (offering to Lord) and puja (devotional) rituals from a very short distance. It was an extremely blissful experience and we received the true panchamritham (mixture of milk, honey, sugar, banana & dates) infused with the Naapashanam energy. Afterwards, we went to the Siddhar Bogar Samadhi which was teeming with energy.
We returned by taking the stairs, but did not feel any pain in our legs, as the mind and body was full of the Lord’s energy. The Masters then offered their hair to the Lord. On the return trip, we went to the organic herb farm . We each had the chance to plant a Nallikai (Phyllanthus embelica) plant. The organic herbs nurtured at this farm will be used in SASI products.
Next we set out for Thiruvannamalai. The Puranic ancient legends say that Annamalai hill was Agni (fire) during Krithayugam, was Manikkam (Emerald) during Threthayugam, was Pon (Gold) during Dwaprayugam and Rock during Kaliyugam. Once upon a time, Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu had a quarrel, and in order to sort out this problem, Lord Shiva took the form of fire and challenged them to find his crown and feet. They both failed in this challenge. Brahma, while taking the challenge, tells a lie and Lord Shiva, angry at the deception, curses Brahma that he will not have place of worship. Therefore, it is believed that there is no temple for Brahma anywhere in India.
The place where Lord Shiva stood in the form of fire is Thiruvannamalai, and Lord Shiva is worshipped by devotees in the form of fire there. Fire is one of the pancha boothas (5 elements) comprising a main teaching in Siddha Medicine. It is also said that this is the place where Lord Shiva presented himself in the form of Fire atop the hill and merged with the Goddess Parvathi in the left side of his body.
Early in the morning, we all took the Girivalam (a walk around the hill as a prayer to the Lord) – 14kms. It was bit cold in morning. As we started to walk on the pavement, the sun began to slowly spread light, and we could see the beautiful green hill. One can feel a powerful energy while performing the Girivalam. There are many temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and Swami Ramalingam along the way which we stopped at to pray and perform bhakti.
Master asked us to keep our palms open to receive the powerful energy. We were feeling our hands becoming heavier and heavier with the force of the energy. I was walking with Master Raj chanting Aum Namaha Shivaya in my heart. After a moment I simply turned to Master Raj and saw that Vibhuti (sacred ash) was sprinkled on both of his palms. Master asked me to take some of it and apply it to my forehead. Master Raj had been blessed by the Divine in the form of vibhuti manifested from his hands.
Then we went to the main temple . The inside of the temple where Lord Shiva is worshipped as Fire, is full of the fire energy. We were sweating due to the strength of this energy. We had a similar experience in the Temple of Shakti.
After this wonderful Girivalam and Darshan (blessing by simply being in the presence of great Gods/Masters), we started for Vadalur – the place where Swami Ramalingam lived before completely transforming his body into light. It was another 3 to 4 hrs journey from Thiruvannamali to Vadalur. We visited the place where Swamiji used to live. We saw his handwritten book. When Swamiji was writing this book, it was evening time and so the host where Swamiji was staying brought 2 jars — one with oil for the lamp and other with water for Swamiji. Swamiji was wholly immersed in the writing and was using the water jar to keep the lamp lit instead of the oil jar. When the host came back she asked how the lamp could have been lit for so long without using any oil from the jar. This is one of the miracles Swamiji performed even without knowing.
We went to the place where Swamiji dematerialised and turned his body into light. We meditated outside the room. But all of us had wish that if we could meditate inside the room and feel the Jothi strongly. As the room is still locked for more than a hundred years and only on the thaipusam day (this yr on 7th Feb 2012) its open for all – the day when Swamij dematerialised. We felt strongly that it should be kept open all the time. Lets pray that the caretakers decide to open it all days.
We saw the Sathyagnyansabhai – the temple built, as directed by Swamiji, to bring the awareness to people that when one goes beyond all the 7 layers of knowledge, one can realise the truth. We participated in the evening Arathi at the temple.
This was not the end of miracles. In Chennai when Master Raj was praying to Lord Murgan for some medicinal guidance, Rasamani (Siddha medicinal preparation which includes purified mercury in its ingredients) manifested in his palms. What we can say… all these divine blessings have occurred… SASI and Pranashakty will take off with tremendous speed and influence with the blessings of the Siddhas and Lord Murgan supporting the cause. The whole world will be able to access the age old secret knowledge handed down by the mystical Siddha Lineage.
